Our prayer is that you may find the dream God put in your heart, and that you may pursue it with passion. We strongly believe that each of us is precious to God. We all have a calling to do something greater than ourselves. Each one of us is especially designed by God Himself  to impact this world and leave a legacy for the future generations.

OUR STORY

Seven years ago we decided to homeschool our four children. At that time we  considered homeschooling to be just another educational option for them. Little did we realize then that our life would change forever!

In our first year something very interesting started to happen. This very structured mom was having trouble calling her children in for lunch as they engaged in activities of their own choice during their "free" time.

What most caught Robert's and my attention is how they were enraptured by their own activities. That definitely did not happen with all the "real" education I was imparting to them during school time,...although I tried so hard. 

I spent hours preparing  curriculums especially designed for homeschoolers that were supposed to be so much fun. Yes, truly I learned a lot...and was always tired! What I  learned most is that me wanting to teach something didn't necessarily mean that they wanted to learn it! 

Robert and I were clueless. What were we doing wrong? In our desperation we ran to God and made a very short prayer: HELP!

Like always, He was faithful to guide us into a whole new revelation about what education was really about.

Little by little our minds were renewed and we started to implement these changes in our home. We started to give our children more freedom to design and take responsibility for their own education. 

The results were amazing. Our children started to develop a love for learning we  never dreamed they would have in those frustrating first years.

Each one of them exploded into another direction. Our role as teacher-parents turned into one of a mentor-companion and provider of learning tools. Soon they had left us behind in their areas of interest... and started to teach us! 

We started to deeply respect the person God had designed each one of them to be, and tried to interfere as little as possible in their very own learning process.

Learning had turned into a lifestyle, a passion. Life started to be exciting and, yes! We started to discover the dream that was in each of their little hearts and encouraged them to gradually grow into it.

Today we are a bunch of six self-directed learners! Each one of us is constantly engaged in, and thoroughly enjoying, different areas of interest. It is thrilling for us to share the latest achievements with each other...and, yes, I'm not tired anymore...

As a matter of fact, I've found my dream...and am living it. It is getting bigger day by day!
